Research Project
Fall Line Systems is conducting a research project to better understand how to Prevent Catastrophe in organizations. The core of the puzzle is how to build preventive action into an organization’s culture so that catastrophes do not occur.
The objective of the research project is ‘to identify barriers to and best practices for Preventing Catastrophe in Organizations.’ The research commenced in January 2011. We are using a three part Delphi Study in which 21 participants (the Expert Group) respond to a series of three questionnaires.
The 21 participants in the Expert Group were selected because they had each built a reputation for working successfully in industry sectors where the risk of catastrophe is fairly significant. These are people who are known for their ability to manage complex, high risk projects and operations without producing dramatic problems.
